HARLOW SUE HERBERT!
Sunday, September 20, 2009
nothing to do in tucson arizona,
So this where the good times happen in tucson on a friday night.
When all your plans fail..
..for hours, .
blowing up nasty tasting balloons,
lindsay crying on the grocery store floor,
trying to sneak ourselves into places,
running out of gas,
andres speaking complete spanish to total white girl strangers,
screaming and freaking ourselves out,
learning about ["thats what she said"]
teaching english.. and funny accents,
and tons and tons of laughing.

happy3RDbirthday Samantha
Saturday was miss Samantha marie allen's birthday, but she had a cute little princess party friday night, With the perfect combination of family, a jumping castle, pinata and food.
All the kids were so adorable, and it was so fun just being around more family.
Of course, about every five minutes another kid would start crying, from something it was so funny. haha, but i guess that shouldnt be funny.
Colin was there and just wanted to run around and play the whole time. Debbie was pitching the ball to him and he would hit it with the bat, and pretty far. It was hilarious because debbie would say "keep your eye on the ball" and he'd stare it down, his face was just so funny.
Then all the kids lined up to do the pinata, it was a unicorn. Taylor whacked it pretty hard, and pretty sure he broke it open. All the kids complained that they didnt get enough candy haha.

And sarah made these so yummy chocolate cupcakes with a cream cheese filling and mini chocolate chips! they were so good. Happy birthday little sammie, congrats on turning three! She is getting so big, and even cuter everytime i see her:)
It was such a fun little party and i;m so glad we got to go! There was even a beautiful sunset,<3

Blending in..
this weeknd me shelby and andrea decided to dress up outrageously and go mess around at wal*mart. hahha.. Well turns obviously our get ups weren't as insane as some others there.
Also, we were going to the u of a game that night and planned on getting these cute jerseys there BUT they were like twentyfive bucks, helllo? walmart has low prices. i dont think so.
Ittt was interesting there.
Then we went to the game, which was a long process because we first, got there late.. there was no parking, got a little lost, and had no tickets. But, it was awesome, we go in for free. The gate gaurder was nice and just let us go in haha it was awesome, and the only money i spent that night was 3dollars on a viva and 4dollars on a watermelon lemonade.
hhappybirthday*
So this week was Allie's birthday, AND my moms birthday- [the tenth and eleventh]. So i made this cute cupcake cake for allie with sour worms coming out the top.

tThen friday we headed up to phx (as usual), and went to cheesecake for diinner:). It was DELICIOUS' and the whole fam was there, plus+ jessica's parents. It was a great night, i love being with family.
messssico
Last weekend, or oh labor day weekend, the ALLENS came down to the condo withh us :).
I love it when they come, they are so entertaining, and adorable. They are the cutest and funniest family ever.
Sarah, Michael, Ashley, Taylor, and Samanta merlee allen.
Meghan came down with me and my parents also. But i drove down with the kids and thaat was such a fun trip haha. They know the words to every song, and sing the entire time. [We have that in common.]
Well the pictures from the trip are all on my dads big camera and not on my computer right now.
But ill put those up later.
I have a few though, of ashley haha. She wanted meghan to curl her hair, but she has the thickest hair on the planet and it took like 3456hours haha. But when she came out she had me and meghan say
"presenting ashley allen!"
and she came out running and laughing her crazy laugh haha.
Then the next morning samantha woke up and came out to the kitchen and said
"presenting samantha"
it was so cute haha. Everything that those kids say is so hilarious.
Now heres a few fun pics from the car-

LondonLady
Wellll another member of our great family is gone! Elliot is doing study abroad and is stationed in LONDON,ENGLAND! My other cousins mckell and mckenzie did the same program last semester and I am so jealous of all of them.
Anyways, so susan was going to drop elliot off, then grandma decided to go, then debbie, then of course my mom didnt wan tto be left out so she went too. But oh i had school so i wasnt invited! They were gone like two weeks-ish and did the whole thing, scotland and everything. My mom brought back lots of adorable gifts, [including a skirt from h&m that me and meghan had to get into a "fight" to figure out who it was for], a picture of a midget, and a cold -that i now have.. thanks mother.
But i still have not seen her pictures, although me and my dad let her borrow "our" camera to take and she took none. So debbie, when you get around to it id like to see a few haha.
Were all going to miss you elliot, but you are going to be having the time of your life, but dont forget us and our cute little town of tucson, arizona.
love youuuu
girls in white dresses*
okay, originally i had already made the decision not to do cotillion, but once i went dress shopping with katherine .. I kind of started second guessing myself. She came out in this beautiful, white, dress, and I LOVED it, i had to try it on haha and i fell in love with the whole idea.
So cotillion is this huge amazing ball where all the ladies are presented into society. All the girls dress up in their big white dresses, dance with their fathers, and loads more of fun.
Now, I'm horrible with decisions, obviously because i couldnt even make up my mind on whether to do this or not, but THEN, i had to find a dress -the perfect one- and get it altered, hemmed and everything else By the end of september. And that was a bit of a stretch..
I went here in tucson looking, tried on my cousins dresses, annnd looked some more. I think i have tried on every decent white gown in the 520.
Then me and alexa went up to phx to try it out. Oh and by the way i HAD found the perfect dress.. but it wasn't white, but ivory. (honestly, whats the big deal theyre barely different.) So that was pretty much [out of the question]
Then, we walked into suzannes, and left and right, everywhere we looked, the most gorgeous dresses i have ever seen! They were amazing. And that is where i found the lovely cotillion gown i willll be wearing, FINALLLLYYYLLY! but of course its still not done, annd im not going to put up a picture until it is just for the surprise.
But enjoy thessse lovely photos of the long process..
:)
my favorite thing to do, these dresses are so amazing and i cannot wait to get married to try on more. And i WONT be trying anymore on until then.
love you cousin<3

ForiegnExchange
In my math class we have THREE foreign exchange students. One from argentina, one from spain, and one from japan. They are so funny. So me and my friend irina wanted to take them out one day and be "american." We picked up Andres from argentina and Manuel from Spain on Friday and went bowling hahah. It was so much fun, and they loved it. Afterwards we drove out to in n' out and got some burgers, fries and milkshakes. We bet on the bowling games and whoever won was supposed to get a milkshake but for some reason i never got that.. ?
We got them in n' out hats and they documented the whole night with their camer
as, but unfortunately i didnt have one because my mom took it to london with her.
But afterwards we went over to my house and showed them the trampoline. Oh my gosh they were so excited. Manuel screamed to me to hold all his stuff so he could run and jump on it. They were hilarious and i think we ended up jumping for about three hours.
A couple reasons I can't WAIT to be an aunt;
Could these kids be any cuter? I am certain that we have the most adorable family on this planet!
I love all these smiley cute kids
They all are so hilarious and always make me so happy.
Colin likes to draw, and he kept making the funniest faces.
I think two weekends ago we had a baby shower for jessica and little soon to be baby harlow. Meghan planned the whole thing along with help from all the lovely reay women in our family. Jess' nursery is going to be black&white and pick with birdcages. So cute. And while shes been pregnant, shes been addicted to cereal. So guess what our theme was?
We had cereal and other breakfast foods and every little detailed contained something along the lines of birds or birdcages. Even the cake was a birdcage! The whole thing turned out so so adorable and it was so much fun. The company was great and jess got a lot of great gifts. Thank you everyone!
